More on the Nobel Prize and TV Westerns

Following my earlier Nobel Prize trivia post, I've run across another connection between the Nobel Prize and TV Westerns.

My colleague Tom Kephart pointed out that Alfred Nobel himself appears in an episode of Have Gun, Will Travel. Nobel shows up at a San Francisco hotel ready to demonstrate his new explosive, but his shipment of nitroglycerin has predictably gone missing... I'm afraid this show predates even my TV-watching days, but you can see a video of the show with Nobel at that link. Clearly, there is a profound and mysterious bond between television Westerns and the Nobel Prize.
